Compatibility

StarterStopper is designed to work across many vehicles, but compatibility depends on the model and how the immobilization is integrated. Please check the notes below before purchasing. If you’re unsure, contact us — we’ll help you verify fitment.

  • Vehicle basics

    • Petrol / diesel / hybrid / electric
    • 12V vs 24V electrical system
    • Automatic or manual transmission
    • Any aftermarket modifications?
  • Start systems

    • Key start or push-button start
    • Stop/Start system (yes/no)
    • Remote start (yes/no)
    • Factory alarm / immobilizer present (usually yes)
  • How to use the vehicle

    • Private daily driving vs fleet use
    • Shared drivers (valet/workshop use)
    • Need audible deterrence (horn/siren) or silent immobilization
    • Prefer set-and-forget vs. maximum deterrence

Important requirements & common constraints

StarterStopper is vehicle-agnostic by design, but there are real constraints depending on model and vehicle setup:

  • Hybrid / Electric: Classic and Alarm are generally not suitable
  • Remote start: compatibility depends on model and vehicle setup
  • One-S works in call cars — automatic or manual, with electronic or mechanical gear selectors
  • Some vehicles monitor circuits closely — integration approach matters. Always check the manual for your model.

FAQ

What information do you need to confirm compatibility?

Make, model, year, engine type (petrol/diesel/hybrid/EV), start type (key/push-button), stop/start (yes/no), remote start (yes/no), and transmission (auto/manual). For One-S also confirm shift-interlock.

Why do some vehicles show warnings or fault codes?

Some vehicles detect changes in monitored circuits. This depends on the vehicle design and integration method. Check the manual and contact us if unsure.

Does Stop/Start cause issues?

StarterStopper models are designed to work with Stop/Start systems, but vehicle behavior can vary. If your car has Stop/Start, mention it when contacting us.

Can I move StarterStopper to another vehicle later?

Often yes, but compatibility and installation method may differ. Professional installation/removal is recommended.
