Will StarterStopper work in my vehicle?
StarterStopper is designed for many petrol and diesel vehicles with key start or push-button start. Compatibility can depend on the specific make/model/year and how the starter/fuel circuits are wired. If you're unsure, send us your vehicle details (make / model / year + start type) and we'll confirm the best option for your setup.
Do I need an app, Bluetooth, or a subscription?
No. StarterStopper is hardware-based and runs locally in your vehicle. There's no app, no Bluetooth pairing, no SIM, and no subscription.
Does StarterStopper track my car or collect data?
No. StarterStopper is privacy-first by design. There's no GPS tracking, no location history, and no cloud profile.
How does it stop theft?
StarterStopper prevents unauthorised use by immobilising the vehicle unless the correct authorisation is entered. Without authorisation, the vehicle won't operate as normal — making theft dramatically harder.
Can a thief bypass it?
No security solution can claim "impossible", but StarterStopper is built to be hard to bypass in real-world conditions. It's hardware-based and doesn't rely on wireless signals, apps, or cloud services that can be attacked remotely. The goal is practical deterrence: make theft slow, noisy, and high-risk.
Will it cause fault codes or issues with my car electronics?
Most vehicles are fine, but some may log a fault code when certain circuits are interrupted. We recommend checking the installation guide for your model and following the suggested wiring approach. If you'd like, we'll help you confirm suitability before purchase.
Can I install it myself?
Many customers install StarterStopper with basic automotive knowledge. If you'd prefer, any auto-electrician can install it for you. For fleets, we can also recommend rollout options depending on location.
What about shipping, lead times, and taxes / import duties?
Shipping cost is calculated at checkout — free worldwide shipping on 5+ units. Lead time depends on destination and stock status (shown on the product page). Tax is charged for Australian orders; international orders may be subject to import duties or taxes when entering your country.
